Overview

Vibgyor High, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, is an English medium co-educational day school. It has an affiliation with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination Board (CISCE), New Delhi and offers classes from 1st to 12th. The institution is also affiliated with the Cambridge Assessment International Examination Board (CAIE), UK and currently provides CAIE's Cambridge curriculum until class 11th. The institution maintains an average teacher-student ratio of 1:10. It also includes daycare facilities for working mothers.

Campus

Vibgyor High, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, is on a green campus offering airy and brightly lit classrooms. There are AV rooms, art rooms, dance rooms, music room, gymnasium, a doll and toy room for nursery and KG students on campus. The establishment's library is well-stocked and offers internet connectivity. In addition, there are five laboratories for physics, biology, chemistry, science and computer studies with the latest equipment.

Academics

Vibgyor High is affiliated with the CISCE, and CAIEband offers class 1st to 12th education. Students choose to select the ICSE exam or the IGCSE exam at the end of class 10th. CAIE curriculum is being provided till class 11th. Students appear ISC examinations at the end of class 12th. 

The formal curriculum is supplemented with field trips, hands-on activities, research work and guest lectures.

Extracurricular activities

Integration of the SPA (Sports and the Performing Arts) curriculum with in-classroom teaching-learning is the distinguishing feature of a Vibgyor High education. To achieve the school's objective of 'holistic development, the child's academic growth is counterbalanced with an enriching SPA programme. The essence of this programme is to:

• Introduce the students to education beyond the classroom through outdoor sports, indoor sports, and performing art activities.
• Expose the student to varied sports facilitating the development of kinaesthetic and spatial skills.
• Identify the inherent capability of the learner in selected sports and provide specialised training in those areas.
• Provide a platform for the student to excel in a sport and represent the school in inter-school and state level competitions

Vibgyor High is one of the few schools in the country with a structured curriculum for sports & the performing arts that includes in-class & outside class experiences.

The primary SPA curriculum provides a wide variety of activities involving movement appropriate to the child's level of development.

Secondary SPA curriculum is a formalised physical activity involving competition or challenges against oneself, others or the environment, emphasising winning.

Sports and extracurricular activities include badminton, swimming, basketball, skating, cricket, football, western dance, speech and drama, aerobics, yoga and chess.
