Hyderabad Public School is among the oldest schools in Hyderabad since 1923. The institution was founded through the consistent efforts of Sir Hon'ble H. Weikfield in 1919. Initially, the school functioned to cater for the needs of the sons of Jagirdars. Only five students and six teachers under the principal's guidance, Mr H.W.Shawcross, were the first batches.
