Overview

The National Public School, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, is an English medium co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education Board (CBSE). The school was established in the year 1982 under the chairmanship of Dr K P Gopalkrishna. It is part of the National Public School group of schools. The establishment is particularly well-reputed for its academic rigour.

Campus

The school provides:

Academics

The school offers the Montessori and Kindergarten systems at the junior levels. At the senior secondary level (class 11th onwards), students are provided science (PCMB or PCMC's) or commerce (with the option of history or mathematics) courses. Each class has three sections comprising no more than 40 students each (although this varies for class XI science class). 

Hindi is taught from class 1st as a second language, while Sanskrit is taught from Class 5th as a third language. In Class 9th, students have the option of studying either Sanskrit or Hindi as a second language. In addition, extra-curricular activities like training in taekwondo, dance, music, aerobics and theatre are conducted under the guidance of professionals after school hours.

Achievement

National Public School, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, produces excellent results in the AISSE (All India Senior School Certificate Examination) for grade 12th and AISSE (All India Secondary School Examination) for grade 10th every year, with the highest aggregates often crossing 98 per cent.

In the survey conducted by Times of India for Online Teaching and CBSE Curriculum, National Public School, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, has been ranked second and third.

Other student achievements include:

• The subsequent selection of gold medallist Siddhant Attavar of Class 10th to represent India at the Genius Olympiad 2021
