Introduction

Hyderabad Institute of Excellence is a co-educational school in Telangana. It is a day cum residential school affiliated with the CBSE board and has classes for students till the 10^th grade.  The school tries to create citizens of tomorrow and ensures equal focus on academics and ethics. Its mission is to nurture students by instilling core values.

Academics

In the primary section, the school uses textbooks as prescribed by the CBSE board as per the National Curriculum Framework. The school uses English as the medium of communication for most subjects. In the secondary section, the school continues to follow the CBSE curriculum and prepares students for the All India Secondary Certificate Examinations. In the senior secondary section, the school prepares students for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination. The school uses continuous assessment techniques to test and evaluate students’ performance and knowledge. It also has bi-annual examinations, one at the end of both semesters.

Infrastructure

The school understands the need for a good environment for its students and does its best to provide students with good facilities. These help students learn quickly and concentrate and understand better. The school has modern smart classrooms, well-equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer, arts and language as well as a well-stocked library with many fiction and non-fiction books, journals, magazines and newspapers that students can use for light reading or research purposes. It also has an auditorium with audio-visual facilities with seating for 400 people. HIE also has well-maintained buildings that serve as hostels for boys and girls. They have a capacity of 750 students and have wardens to ensure students’ safety, in-house teachers who offer study assistance, nutritious food for boarders, recreation facilities, a laundromat, an essential store and a stationery store.

Extracurriculars

Students here also take part in many extracurricular activities. To help in the overall development of students, activities are included along with academics. Students take part in reading, writing, arithmetic, music, dance, painting and theatre. The school also encourages its students to remain fit and healthy. For this reason, it promotes sports and other activities in the school. The school has facilities for various sports. Students here take part in activities like football, cricket, basketball, swimming, badminton and horse riding. The school also has facilities for indoor games.
