Overview and Aim

Chinmaya Vidyalaya was established in 1993 by the Chinmaya Seva Trust, Hyderabad. Since the school’s establishment, they have been providing quality education to students from LKG to class 12th. The school follows Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji’s vision of education. It is a co-ed school and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school campus is spread over 2.9 acres. It has large and spacious classrooms, a big library, music and dance rooms, all science jab for junior classes, and respective physics, chemistry, and biology labs for the science students. All the apparatus in these labs are of good quality, which helps the teachers conduct practical sessions for them to get in-depth knowledge of the subject. The school also has an IT lab for the students to be in touch with technology from an early age.

After class 10th board examinations, the students are allowed to choose any stream based on their interest. The students have an option of either PCB/PCM or commerce. The students spend the next two years focusing on their choice and studying the subjects strictly needed by their stream. However, the students can opt for an additional subject based on their skills and liking, such as fine arts or physical education.

Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP)

The Chinmaya Vision Programme is what makes Chinmaya Educational Institution’s schools different from other schools. Chinmaya Vision Programme is a comprehensive educational program that was made and developed by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji. The program aims to provide the children with a true vision of life to help them face the challenges in life more positively and dynamically and then, in turn, contribute to the betterment of our society. The program also embraces parents, teachers, and the school management, as, through them, the light of this vision spreads through the society around us.

CVP is a vision-expanding program, starting from self-development, helping to create a big and close family, a cohesive society, a strong country, and a powerful and peaceful world. The program is not only theoretical and a romantic vision but a proven program with practical implementation strategies. The program integrates all into a harmonious whole.

The Chinmaya Vision Programme consists of four heads:-

Integrated Development

It aims at the overall development and gently blossoming of the child at mental, physical, intellectual, and spiritual levels of their personality.

Indian Culture

Under this head, the student is given knowledge and exposure to the various aspects of our culture, traditions, cultural awareness, and appreciation of India's vast literacy, artistic and scientific heritage.

Patriotism

It includes education in citizenship, civic consciousness, being proud of being Indian, and major national concerns such as unity in diversity and proper understanding of secularism. It aims at creating committed and dedicated citizens who take pride in serving the nation.

Universal Outlook

It created an appreciation and commitment towards issues like global warming, population, and poverty. A universal outlook helps the students see themselves as responsible citizens of the world, living in harmony with creation and being aware of being an intrinsic part of the civilization.
