Matrusri DAV Public School, Miyapur, Telangana is a branch of the Dayanand Anglo Vedic group directly managed by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The school was started in 2010 on a temporary premise in Vivekananda Nagar Colony. It changed its functioning to the new premises in Matrusri Nagar in the year 2011. The school runs from classes LKG to 10th presently with a strength of 1778. The establishment is affiliated with the CBSE Board and has plans for further growth in years to come. Dayanand Anglo Vedic Institutions in the Telangana Zone is ably managed under the efficient guidance of the Regional Director, Mrs Minoo Aggarwal-National Best teacher Awardee. The Principal, Mrs K Anandavalli B.Sc., heads the establishment's administration and academics wing, MA., M.Ed., under whose guidance DAV has blossomed into a sought after school in the neighbourhood.

Facilities

Science Laboratory 

The school has Science and Maths laboratories which are equipped for experimental learning. In addition, the English laboratory helps develop the speaking, listening, and rhetorical skills of children, which allows them to enrich their phonetics.

Library 

The school has a full-fledged library with over 2000 books and educational videos, multimedia kits, and internet access to teachers and children for extended reading and exploration.

Sports 

Students make use of the playground, and the following facilities are available for children. Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Throw ball, Table Tennis, etc., are made available for children. The last period of one-hour duration is designated as a hobby period is devoted to pursuance as hobbies. Thus, the students have a wide range of options to choose from trained by field experts. Vocabulary 

Today computers play an important role in daily life; Matrusri DAV School, Miyapur, in coordination with NIIT, has introduced a computer teaching programme known as e-guru. This programme teaches young students to basic computer concepts such as MS Office, HTML; c++. The basic aim of this programme is to integrate Information Technology with all subjects right from class 1st. The children are given a certificate in the qualifying exam.

ICT 

The school has six smart labs with access to students of all classes. The integration of computer technology as an aid to teaching is put to good use in the school. The electronic wonders were seen on screen blend with the joy of learning and help to reinforce classroom learning with extended exercises. The students write, erase and rewrite on the ICT boards.
