Dr M Srinivasan founded GEAR Innovative Intl School under the umbrella of GEAR Foundation in the year 1995. The school has an affiliation with the CBSE board. At GEAR Innovative International School, Bengaluru, various methods and tools are used to spark curiosity and interest within a child. For example, math, Science, History and Languages are learned through board games, puzzles, hands-on activities, experiments, music etc. that would make the student look forward to learning something new.
Sports are an integral part of GEAR Innovative International School. They help keep the body healthy and build various performance capabilities like endurance, discipline, introspecting, team building, and leading.

Assembly
All the students are grouped into four Houses; Cauvery, Krishna, Ganga and Narmada. Assembly happens each morning, and it is during this time, children put up plays, dance, recite poems and discuss the news and current events. A general theme or topic is given to the students each month, around which they base their planned assembly activities. The students are the House Captains and Vice Captains, who are in charge of what happens on stage every morning.
Enrichment activities
GEAR Innovative International School, Bengaluru, has partnered with several organisations to help enrich the learning experience of all the cubs. These programs do not replace the regular syllabus and teaching methods, but they enhance what is taught.
BiBox (Grade 5-11):
Based on 21st CE Learning, the Lab has a broad approach, promoting Design Thinking and Challenge-based learning. It nurtures and delivers practical exposure and sustained excitement in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. BiBox brings together creative content, technology and delivery mechanisms for students to put their ideas into action.
It nurtures students and gives a Comprehensive, comprehensive, practical exposure to Science, Engineering, arts, and math.
Mindspark (Grade 5 to Grade 9):
Mindspark is a cloud-based platform that aids in studying mathematics by self-learning with a curriculum integrated database. It helps the Cubs improve their skills in Maths. In addition, it allows each student to follow a learning path that is based on their needs.
iPad Lab (Grade 2- Grade 5):
Tabtor Math combines smart technology with the personalised attention of a dedicated tutor for classes 2nd to 5th. It is an App that provides extensive digital worksheets tailored especially to each student’s needs. In addition, it includes revolutionary “digital paper technology” that allows tutors to observe every pen and keystroke as your child solves each math equation. The students go to the iPad lab to learn math through this App.
SAPA Music Academy (M2 – Grade 10):
The Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts has developed a special syllabus to teach Indian classical music as part of the curriculum in schools from Montessori (age 3) to Standard 10th.
Indian classical music is one of the oldest styles of music and can be used as a base for learning almost every style of music worldwide. The students are exposed to different styles of music from around the world, including Western Classical music, African music, Flamenco and Jazz.
