Overview

Ebenezer International School Bangalore (EISB) is an English medium co-educational day-cum-residential school. Founded in the year 2006 by well-known educationist Dr Abraham Ebenezer, the school has an affiliation with the CISCE Board, New Delhi, the Cambridge International Assessments Examinations, UK and the International Baccalaureate, Geneva. It offers education from kindergarten to class 12th. Students can either write the ICSE (Class 10th) and ISC (class 12th) or CAIE's International General Certificate of Secondary Education and A level exams.

The school's mission is to create a path-breaking educational institution that keeps pace with the rapid strides in knowledge.

Campus

The school's 9.5-acre campus offers state-of-the-art academic and sports facilities. They include modern classrooms, conference halls, and contemporary physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science laboratories. The laboratories are also equipped with computers, internet access and LCD projectors.

The library has several thousand volumes and subscribes to all leading newspapers, magazines and non-print resources and storage. In addition, informal reading spaces and special reading cubicles are provided. It also has a study research area containing all the latest reference material with computers and wi-fi Internet facilities.

The computer laboratory has a student to computer ratio of 1:1. In addition, students can access the multi-media centre, equipped with multi-modal teaching and multi-sensory learning facilities. 

Slides, overhead projectors, sound systems, video systems, networked computers integrating sound, animation, text, graphics and images are available.

The health centre is open throughout the school's working hours with a doctor on call and two separate wards for boys and girls if treatment requires bed rest. In addition, the general health check is conducted annually for all students by paediatricians from Narayana Hrudalaya.

The school also provides a cafeteria and a tuck shop that serves various snacks and beverages. In addition, the entire campus is protected from fire hazards and has a generator for an alternate power supply.

Spread over 9.15 acres of land, the establishment's solar power facilities provide basic lighting and heating options.

Moreover, the school's sports department offers coaching for athletics, basketball, cricket, football, and lawn tennis.

Academics

Ebenezer International School Bangalore is affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, the Cambridge Assessments International Examinations, UK and the International Baccalaureate, Geneva. It offers education from kindergarten to class 12th. In the ISC programme, students can choose between three streams science, arts and commerce.

Co-curricular activities include sports and games, instrumental music, vocal music, drama, art, elocution, debates, and talent nights. Cultural trips to places of interest and historical importance are also organised.

Achievement

Founder Chairman of Ebenezer International School, Dr Abraham Ebenezer, has been awarded several awards, most noted as 'The Derozio Award'. He was also honoured with the Rajyotsava Award for Excellence in Education, 2005 by the Karnataka state government. In addition, he has also won the Excellence Award for Schools in India instituted by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in the year 2004.

Accommodation

There are two separate hostels, and each floor of the hostels accommodates 30 students on a twin or three-sharing basis in roomy, well-ventilated rooms.

A dining block with two separate kitchens serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. There is also a provision to cater personalised menus for international students.
