Candor International School was started in 2011, nestled in 25 acres of prime land in the south of Bangalore, between Electronics City and Bannerghatta. Counted among the best boarding schools in Bangalore, Candor has been awarded numerous awards for its residential facilities over the years.

Candor International School grounds are home to state-of-the-art academic, sports, arts, music and tech-enabled classroom facilities, emphasising its commitment to academic and holistic education excellence. The establishment also houses two boarding facilities to cater to students who wish to stay on campus.

Candor’s credentials include authorisation to deliver the International Baccalaureate program (for classes 1 to 5 and classes 11 to 12) and the Cambridge curricula (for classes 6 to 12).

The school is proud to have been certified in 2014 as the first Green School in India. Candour leads in a sustainable built environment from the architecture, landscaping, energy consumption, and even food sources. Dr Suresh Reddy founded the school.

Boarding at Candor International School is led by the belief that a healthy child needs the perfect combination of a good school and a caring, loving home. Therefore, they offer an on-campus residential facility throughout the academic year, with weekly and regular boarding in Bangalore, from 5th to 12th. Weekly boarders reside at the campus from Monday to Friday, while regular boarders live on campus through the academic year. They are encouraged to develop valuable skills and qualities such as communication, leadership, teamwork, empathy and cultural understanding, making borders a happy community and an extended family.

Hostel Rooms and Food

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and are allocated on a shared basis (two to three per room) to encourage socialisation and emotional well-being. Each residential facility also has a TV room and a common study area. Dinner is served in the dining hall. It is always freshly prepared nutritious meals with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, with a varied menu to cater to international and Indian boarding residents.

Tuck Shop and Sports

Boarders have access to the sports courts, game fields, half-Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a tuck shop that offers toiletries, snacks and essential items for purchase. In addition, to encourage a healthy lifestyle, they participate in mandatory physical activity in the mornings before school starts and after school ends.

Dorm Parents

Each residential facility is staffed by a boarding parent who lives on-campus 24/7 in the same building as the hostel students. In addition, they undergo strict police background verification checks, selected for their ability to be a source of support to the child living away from home.

Safety and Security

Boys and girls live in two separate buildings. Non-boarders and parents are allowed to enter if accompanied by the dorm parent. Additionally, to assure maximum safety and security, boys are not allowed to enter the girls’ hostels and vice versa.

Outings

Weekends at Candor International School are particularly vibrant, with activities planned within and outside the premises. In addition, the school organises monthly off-campus outings for cultural programmes, shopping etc. Finally, on the last weekend of every month, the establishment allows boarders to travel back home to their parents/guardians house.
