With a motto of "Truely International", Canadian International School (Bangalore)(CIS) is a private co-educational day and boarding senior secondary school which was established in the year 1996 and is located in Yelahanka, Bangalore North, India. Canadian International School (CIS) got established in the year 1996 by two Canadian entrepreneurs under the name "Canadian School of India"(CSI). It got started with a vision for providing students with international education in a global environment. The school was managed by a new Board of Directors in 2002 and was then renamed the "Canadian International School" (CIS).
Campus
The campus of Canadian International School (CIS) is situated outside of downtown Bangalore, in Yelahanka. The school's campus is located on the edge of Yelahanka lake and is enclosed by fruit and spice plantations. The campus includes three main academic wings for each elementary, Middle, and High Schools, a 25-meter swimming pool, a 500 seat capacity state of the art auditorium called the Odeum, three basketball courts, two tennis courts, a badminton court and many more. The school has separate boarding facilities for boys and girls. The institution boarding welcomes students from class 6 to class 12 in modern accommodation with a homely atmosphere. A total number of 112 students can be accommodated, boys and girls, in two separate wings. Boarding students share rooms in pairs of the same age/class/course. A range of CAS and IAYP (International Award Youth Program) clubs are available to boarders and a host of other recreational activities on weekends to keep them excited. CIS Boarding also provides the availability of a boarding parent on each floor whose role is to create a safe, healthy, and friendly environment for learning.
